Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal Still Deserted

Entering the fourth day of Ramadan or Friday (4/16), Tanjung Priok AKAP Bus Terminal, North Jakarta is still quiet.

The homecoming ban has been applied since May 6 to 17 and surely we are offline to serve passengers

Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal Head Surya Alam said he was still busy socializing the 2021 homecoming ban to bus companies (PO) and prospective passengers.

"The homecoming ban has been applied since May 6 to 17 and surely we are offline to serve passengers," he expressed, Friday (4/16).

Kalideres Terminal Continues to Promote Homecoming Ban

He explained it was compliance with a circular letter of Covid-19 Handling Task Force number 13/2021 on Homecoming Ban and Covid-19 Handling During Ramadan.

Therefore, he urged the pubic to cancel the trip schedule.

PO Haryanto Caretaker at Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal, Ahmad admitted that he had received the information about homecoming ban.

"Honestly, we certainly object to this policy as it will have an impact on our income, especially in the pandemic like this. But we have to comply with government policies anyway. So hopefully this pandemic will end soon and activities will return to normal," he expressed.

While, Muklis (34), one of prospective passengers for the bus to Sampang, Madura added that he decided to return to his hometown early. Besides getting together with family, there were other factors that influenced his decision.

"I return to my hometown as my work was affected by the pandemic. That's why I go to my hometown first. My hope is the situation can return to normal again considering my income is greatly reduced during the pandemic," he stated.
